Chicago, Illinois (December 7, 2015) – – Des Moines, Iowa-based BH Companies, the fifth largest private multifamily property owner and manager in the United States, has closed on $21.4 million in equity capital commitments for the BH New Opportunity Fund 2015, LP. Middle-market investment bank Jordan, Knauff & Company (“JKC”) served as financial advisor to BH Companies throughout the process.
BH Companies was founded in 1993 by Mr. Harry Bookey to acquire, improve and manage residential apartment communities located in select geographies in the U.S. Since its founding, BH Companies has achieved notable and sustainable success such that it now includes a family of affiliated entities consisting of BH Equities, LLC; BH Management Services, LLC; and BH Construction. Acting as a collaborative unit, the entities collectively employ 1,500 people, and own and manage approximately 62,000 rental apartment units in 21 states.
