Using state-of-the-art techniques and methodologies, ChemRisk works with governments, industry, and academia to provide objective, science-based solutions to difficult challenges. The company has more than 70 scientists with backgrounds in toxicology, industrial hygiene, epidemiology, ecotoxicology, environmental sciences, medicine, statistical analysis, and risk assessment serving clients in multiple countries, across a variety of markets and industries.
Founded in 1985, ChemRisk offers services in the areas of computational modeling and statistics, crisis management, epidemiology, exposure assessment, health and environmental risk assessment, nanotechnology, occupational health and safety sciences, product sustainability, regulatory support, and toxicology and ecotoxicology. The acquisition of ChemRisk expands Cardno’s service offering in occupational health and safety, product sustainability, consumer product safety, and contaminated site evaluations. ChemRisk will become a part of Cardno ENTRIX, an environmental and natural resource management consultancy providing a broad range of services in water resources management, nature resources management, permitting and compliance, and liability management.
“ChemRisk is a strong brand that is respected worldwide. The transaction will allow the company to capitalize on the expanding market for risk analysis due to current and anticipated regulations, concerns about food quality and concerns about the safety of consumer products,” commented Mr. G. Cook Jordan, Jr., Managing Principal of Jordan Knauff & Company.
