Jordan Knauff & Company Awarded Two Top Honors at the Middle-Market Financing Awards

The M&A Advisor awarded Mr. Thomas E. Knauff and Mr. Miguel A. Pachicano of Jordan Knauff & Company top honors at the 5th Annual Middle-Market Financing Awards held on June 21st at the Drake Hotel in Chicago. Jordan Knauff & Company, a middle-market investment bank with offices in Chicago and Kansas City, Missouri, was selected from 99 nation-wide finalists in 26 different categories for transactions completed over the past year.

Mr. Knauff was named the “Equity Financing Deal Maker of the Year” for his formation and ongoing transaction support of Liberty Propane LLC, a consolidation strategy in the retail propane distribution industry. Over the course of six years, Liberty Propane grew through 26 acquisitions (and the financings thereof) to become the ninth largest retail propane distributor in the United States before its sale in December 2009.

Mr. Pachicano was awarded the “Middle-Market M&A Financing Deal of the Year” (below $100 million) for his work in the sale of a 422 MW wind portfolio in Poland to The AES Corporation. This transaction, the largest of its kind in Poland, is the cornerstone for future capital flows into the renewable industry in Poland by major global players.
