Jordan Knauff & Company Recognized as Finalist for the Americas M&A Atlas Awards
Jordan Knauff & Company (JKC) is pleased to be recognized as a finalist for the 2013 Americas M&A Atlas Awards. Sponsored by the Global M&A Network, the Americas M&A Atlas Awards honor top deals, deal makers, and firms from North and South America middle-market M&A communities. Judging is based on identifiable deal performance metrics across five broad criteria. Winners will be selected by an independent panel for completing top value-generating transactions and will be announced at the annual awards gala held in New York on October 24.
JKC was selected as a finalist in three major categories: North America Deal of Year (deal size of $5 to $150 million), U.S.A. M&A Deal of the Year (deal size of $50 to $150 million), and Energy Services & Manufacturing Deal of the Year (deal size below $1 billion). More than 600 transactions were evaluated for 2013, from which only 263 deals made the finalist list.
JKC was recognized for its role as exclusive financial advisor to Dynapower Company, LLC (Dynapower) in connection with its sale to Pfingsten Partners, LLC. Dynapower required an advisor that could properly articulate the company’s entrenched position in legacy markets as well as its potential growth from a promising new market. The company’s owners selected JKC to represent them in this transaction because of JKC’s reputation for delivering high quality, innovative M&A advice to middle-market companies and its extensive experience in the manufacturing and energy sectors.
Since its founding in 1963, Dynapower has evolved into a diversified, industry leading manufacturer of power transformers, rectifiers, and bidirectional inverters that convert electricity between alternate current (AC) and direct current (DC). Dynapower’s superior technological expertise and mission critical product offering make it a global leader in the power conversion and energy management systems markets.
“We are immensely proud of this transaction. Our entire Dynapower team did an outstanding job in creating a process that realized significant value for our client,” stated Mr. G. Cook Jordan, Jr. , Managing Principal at JKC. “We are honored to be a part of this group of outstanding finalists,” he continued.
